Wild Horse Music Festival on Saturday July 25, 2009
We just confirmed the date of this years Wild Horse Music Festival. This is a fund-raiser for the whole family to help protect Canada's last wild horses in the Chilcotin area of B.C.
On Saturday, July 25th from 1pm to 9pm we are having 7 musicians perform, including Laura Doyle (www.lauradoyle.com), Karen Larson (www.myspace.com/karenlarsonmusic), Pat Covernton, Marq Desouza and more. The event is at artist Jana's Hopeland Farm in Pitt Meadows at 19784 150th Ave.
Laura and her horse Orion live at Hopeland and we are planning a wild horse slide show, a horse communication demo and an equine spirit art show by Jana (http://www.redbubble.com/people/janaschmidt ) . Two wild horses will be present who have been brought into captivity as part of the DNA testing program.............and of course all that amazing live music.
A tasty BBQ lunch will also be available for purchase with proceeds also benefiting the wild horses.
Bring your family and friends and enjoy learning about wild horses and helping us celebrate them with music, art and horse communication demos.

Please bring a camp chair or beach blanket to sit on in the covered sand arena. We have cover so come out rain or shine. We look forward to seeing you there!

The vibe will be like Woodstock... though maybe with all the horses we should be calling it Livestock! Contact Laura if you want to help promote the event with our team or volunteer on the day if you're short of cash for a ticket. Camping over on Hopeland's beautiful 5 acres is also an option by pre-booking with Laura.
